Call for Art: Blue Mind - An exhibition showcasing artwork that represents the profound connection between humans and water, nurturing our emotional well-being and guiding us toward tranquil contemplation.

2D and 3D work is accepted for submission.

Only one piece may be submitted, per artist.

Entry Cost: $10

100% of this cost goes right back into the SBAA Exhibition's Committee and supplies for exhibitions.
If work is sold, a 10% donation will be aquired by SBAA. South Bay Art Association handles all sales and sales tax reporting for the artist. The 10% helps with credit card charging fees as well as administration fees with SBAA. SBAA will mail out a check to the artist within 30 days of the end of the exhibition.

2D Submission Criteria:

Minimum size:11” x 14" / Maximum size: 36" Width.
Provide outside dimensions of framed artwork.
Black frames are preferred.
All work must be D-ringed, and wired (no sawtooth or eye hooks please)
Work will be installed with Command Strips/Command Strip Hooks. If work is framed, acrylic plexiglass is recommended by SBAA.
SBAA is not liable for any damage that may occur to frames from Command Strips. Our Exhibition Committee will do our best to ensure the safety of all pieces submitted.

3D submission Criteria: Spaces are limited, due to placement options.

Maximum Size: 18"H x 12"W x 8"D
If you are submitting a ceramic piece, please have an acrylic case to showcase your work.
SBAA wants to ensure your work is safe and not mistaken for a piece, not for sale.

Where: Tranquility Within Healing Center - 64 W Main St, Patchogue, NY 11772

When: September - October

Deadline to apply: Sunday, August 25th, 2024

Drop off: Sunday, September 8th, at 3:00 pm at Tranquility Within

Tranquility Within is not able to receive mailed or shipped artwork - please make arrangements to hand deliver your artwork to the location at the designated time. If you want to participate but cannot make the drop-off or pick-up, please coordinate with another member to bring or retrieve your artwork. Because we are all volunteers, we cannot provide alternate arrangements and will not be responsible for the storage of artwork. Anyone who drops off or picks up artwork outside the designated times provided will NOT be permitted to exhibit with SBAA.

Reception Date: Sunday, September 29, 3:00 - 5:00

Pick up: Sunday, November 3rd at 3:00pm

NO LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

I accept terms & conditions of this registration I hereby consent that my artwork be displayed by South Bay Art Association, Tranquility Withing, and any members/representatives thereof to promote myself and the exhibit. Any sale of artwork is subject to a 10% donation to SBAA.

I confirm that my artwork will be d ringed & wired upon drop-off. I understand SBAA used command strips for installation at Tranquility Within. If the pieces require a wall nail installation, I will inform the SBAA Exhibitions Committee at drop-off, so they can properly accommodate them.
