SBAA MEMBERS- Winter Solstice!

Deadline: November 1
South Bay Art Association and our satellite gallery, the Cheese Patch, are teaming up for our upcoming exhibition, “Winter Solstice”.
The winter solstice occurs when either of Earth’s poles reaches its maximum tilt away from the Sun, causing it to be the shortest day of the year. However, did you know that since prehistory, the winter solstice has been a significant time of year in many cultures? It is marked by festivals and rituals depending on the culture itself. The winter solstice is viewed as the symbolic death and rebirth of the Sun, the gradual waning of daylight hours is reversed and begins to grow again.
This show will be up for the months of December and January.
If you are interested in submitting, please do so by November 1.
