About the artist
Valerie J. Biscardi, a local artist, has been interested in art since childhood, but began focusing on art since her retirement in 2012, after she attended her first paint night.
She mostly uses a laying process with oil and acrylic, and watercolors, sometimes, too. Her images are picked from either from pictures taken from travels, or from images that she feels will translate well into paint.
In addition, she makes acrylic pour jewelry, in many styles and colors. She saw an artist’s video, followed the process, and created her own line.
Valerie is also a member of a few local art organizations, and is a Trustee for the South Bay Art Association. She currently paints from a studio in her home in Brookhaven Hamlet.
